Jr. Livestock Program
A Wide Range of Enrichment Programs
Each year over 300 of Morgan County youth participate in the Junior Livestock Program raising market animals for the County Fair. The youth learn essential life skills like responsibility, compassion, and the humane treatment of animals. They learn cooperation, leadership and community service through participation in 4-H clubs or FFA.
The Junior Livestock program is for youth in grades 3 - 12, as of September 1, of the current 4-H year. In order to provide for the safety and best interest of the participants, youth in grades K - 2 are not eligible to participate. Youth must be enrolled in 4-H by April 1, 2025 by 5 PM. FFA exhibitors must be an active member and be enrolled in an agriculture class at Morgan High School for the current school year 2024-2025 by April 1, 2025. No exceptions!
This program includes activities for those youth who own/have access to livestock. Activities can include everything from education and fun club meeting, livestock shows and the Morgan County Fair, service projects, judging contests and leadership opportunities.
